Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July 2019
We were invited back to the Truck Music Festival this year. In previous years we have made and sold onion bhajis and lentil dal, but this year it was paninis and we were in the main charity food tent, the Feel Good Tent.
It was a new venture for us, so a bit of an experiment. We had great fun, enjoyed working alongside with the other charities in the lovely purple and cream tent, and we made some money too.
The festival has grown each year, with lots more visitors but also lots of commercial food operations. However the Feel Good Tent continues to be a key part of the festival. There were three Rotary food stands – we sold paninis, Didcot Rotary sold baked potatoes, and Faringdon Rotary sold pizzas – thousands of them! Then we also had steak sandwiches for the local church, sausage rolls and pasties for Blue Skye Thinking that supports research into childhood brain tumours, hot pot and curries for a children’s charity in India, plus coffees, smoothies, salads, macaroni cheese…… Lots of choice.
Here are just a few of the photos.
